Welsh duo Tom and Ed Russell, known to ravers as Overmono, announce their debut album ‘Good Lies’ due for release on Friday 12th March 2023 via XL Recordings.

New single ‘Is U’ apprehends the release of ‘Good Lies’, demonstrating the sound of contemporary dance with a backbone in techno. Cinematic new visual for ‘Is U’, shot and directed by filmmaker Rollo Jackson, captures the sound of Overmono on this fresh collaboration.

Building their name throughout the gulf of lockdown, Overmono have remained anything but stagnant. Their EPs between 2020 to 2022 cultivated a core fan base hungrily awaiting the reopening of clubs, ‘So U Kno’ being their breakthrough track.

Overmono delivered their audio-visual live show for sold-out concerts and festivals including Glastonbury, Movement Festival, and Dekmantel during their debut headline tour last year. While releasing new music, working with artists like Joy Orbison, and unleashing the latest DJ mix in their “Fabric Presents” series. On the road Tom and Ed are said to have ripened their sound by “experimenting a lot and having fun with how we created chords or chopped and pitched vocals”.

Now an established name in the dance scene, Overmono plan to elevate their sound with this new album release. Layering whimsical vocal cuts over a fusion of electronic beats, this album is bound to expand the duos audience and sonic style.

The release of “Good Lies” coincides with Overmono’s announcement of a headline tour, which will take them to Australasia for the first time and back to North America for additional dates, including a premiere performance at Coachella in April.

‘Good Lies’ is available to pre-order now on LP, CD and available to pre download on all digital services.
