The Social kickstarts 2023 with shows from Tapir, Pleasure Pool, Ruf Dug & more

The longstanding London venue enters a new year with a series of exciting shows.

The Social has revealed upcoming shows set to take place at the central London hotspot over the coming months with a number of live acts, DJ’s and exhibitions set to be hosted in the space. The much loved venue remains a staple of the leftfield music scene in the capital and has set out ambitious plans for the coming year with a series of new parties and events.

Key dates upcoming include a special performance from Tapir! as part of an Independent Venue Week spectacular as they channel elements of Americana, Rock, Indie, Folk and beyond following on from what was a highly successful year for them as they burst onto the scene. Tapir will play live on the 2nd of February.

 

Elsewhere Balearic Funk come Boogie purveyor Ruf Dug will be joined by rising DJ Tia Cousins for a special back to back party which is set to showcase the breadth and depths of two skilled DJ’s in a new, versatile collaboration. Taking place on the 27th of January.

Benny Page will also host a night as he brings his Dub Shotta Soundystem to London for an exclussive party highlighting some of the best and most innovative in Drum n Bass of the moment – he himself will play back to back with DJ Nay with MC Navigator and MC Sye commanding the movement on the night.

Ransom Note will also kick off a new residency in the Fitzrovia basement on the 10th of February, inviting Glaswegian up and comers Pleasure Pool to join us for an evening of debauchery and dimly lit dancing. Pleasure Pool will make their London debut on the night which follows on from the release of their first album on the acclaimed Optimo Music.
