The party series powers on in thunderous fashion with Ivan Smagghe & Manfredas at the helm.

Dresden has become a household name.

I’m sure you’ve seen a t-shirt or two around the place – you know those ones with the trendy Pacha esque logo and the sexy cherries? It’s pretty apt really – Ivan Smagghe and Manfredas have always been somewhat tongue in cheek characters.

However, that’s not to say that they don’t play some pretty serious music from time to time.

The parties are pretty cool affairs – showcasing a mixture of leftfield experimental electronic music alongside progressive and tech House with a psychedelic edge.

This month will see them host their biggest and most ambitious venture to date as they prepare to takeover two venues in Vilnius across one weekend.

The two night affair will see them host parties at Galerie 1986 and Opium alongside Craig Richards, Nicolas Lutz, Mad Miran, Kiara Scuro, Matt Cowell and more.

Taking place on the weekend of the 15th of September we invited them to guide us through some music which you may or may not hear on the evening.

NIK COLD VOID - ROCKET USA- BLAST FIRST PETITE

Played in Fabric’s in Room 1 and Room 3 this year. Original is obviously important to us on many levels. Here beautifully covered by one of our favourite musicians of today.

  • CHRISTIAN VOGEL - NEVER TOO LATE (CARI LEKEBUSCH Remix)

Had Lekebusch with all the aliases on tap this summer. Mad sounding track this one, wish it was remastered for today.

  • ADIEL & DONATO DOZZY - CAVALLINA

Houghton Terminus vibe is real. Hearing/playing this loud and clear in the glory of Saturday morning was one of many moments.

  • TREVINO - ANXIOUS DUB

One for the stoners! A functional banger with very few but key elements. Luckily we’ve played some very decent sound systems this summer to channel this properly.

  • GIANLUCA PELLERANO - DARK RECOVERY

Defo from “the zone” (where we like to get) but somewhat “melodic”? Trance as a genre has been ruined but as something induced, it will always work. 4 lines when we could have said : pingers track.

  • THE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE - ITERATE

Minimal liquid funk and records that don’t do much – an essential part of Dresden all nighters.

  • GENERALI MINERALI - MARS GENERATION

Pure constructed deconstruction. Or probably more wonky techno than whatever else.

  • SPEEDY J - GINGER

One of the ultimate deep dive Dresden classic. I am not sure we have ever not played it in at the deeper end of the night. A subtle destroyer.

  • GIGI GALAXY - LIPS SO SWEET

Did he ever lost his touch? We tend to shy away from 303s unless…
