Video Premiere: The Galaxy Electric – How High / Endless Voyage

A visual accompaniment to two tracks taken from the husband and wife duo’s second LP.
US-based Husband and wife duo The Galaxy Electric released their second LP, Tomorrow Was Better Yesterday, into the world at the end of 2020. Making what they term as “cosmic tape music”, the release is a melting pot of retro sci-fi and 60s psych pop, crafted through their arsenal of machines including Buchla style synthesizers, Reel to Reel and Cassette tape machines, a Mellotron and a Korg Delta. A space age fantasy of sorts, the album was recorded to analog tape and completely improvised, a technique the pair spent a year honing before recording every day for an entire month.
Speaking about the video, The Galaxy Electric said: “it features two songs from our new album Tomorrow Was Better Yesterday. The artist who made the video connected with us on Instagram a while ago and we talked about how we’d love to collab. We sent him our album, and this is what he sent back. It took him about 8 months to complete it, as it is a VERY time intensive process. He builds each component with his 3D printer and then shoots it all stop motion style – and then edits it in the computer for all the extra goodness.”
Tomorrow Was Better Yesterday is out now on Reel To Reel.
