Ever wondered what might happen if Nightmares on Wax and Marlon Lopez teamed up to make wonky acid house meets electroclash? Now you can stop wondering.

The kite had been waiting all morning.

It lay on the grass, its bright paper skin trembling with every whisper of wind, its string coiled patiently beside it like a sleeping snake. Around it, the world bustled—feet passed by, laughter drifted, clouds wandered lazily overhead—but the kite noticed only the sky. Vast, blue, endless. Calling.

At last, a pair of hands lifted it. It rose, a little unsteady, but full of determination. The string was unwound, the frame tilted upward, and with a running start and a hopeful shout, the kite was released.

For a moment, nothing happened. It dipped. It wobbled. The ground seemed to reach up eagerly, ready to reclaim it. But then—a gust. A strong, steady push of wind caught beneath its wings, and suddenly the kite understood what it was meant to do.

It soared.

Nightmares on Wax and Marlon Lopez have recorded a killer record. That’s if we do say so ourselves. 20/20 Vision have outdone themselves with this one – a new release which nods to the vintage days of acid house and the weirder fringes of electroclash in between. Proper gear.
