As the summer came to a bittersweet close the air became a little thinner once more. There was less fullness in it all, less life.

However, the change of pace might be nice for a while.

The streetlights would illuminate earlier, the crowds would leave the busy city, retreating to the comfort of the warmth elsewhere.

It was a time of transition, those last embers of the summer would be treasured and shared upon terraces and in bars.

Soon everything may be darker but for now it was still August in Paris.
