8 Tracks Of: Showcasing why UK Garage is buzzing again with Conducta

Music

Coming in hot from the mean streets of Bristol, Conducta is a producer who has been pioneering the charge for bass and garage as part a new wave of artists breathing life into the genre. He digs deep, well aware of the roots and foundations of UK Garage, a genre which has been as pivotal to the development of UK musical culture as punk was before it.

His own music has been supported far and wide, racking up some serious figures via online platforms and receiving support from legacy heads and newcomers alike. As the boss of Kiwi Records he has also been responsible for pushing a new wave of talented artists in the right direction, all with imitable style and grace.

He is a leading light for underground electronic music within the UK and we can expect big things in years to come.

Next month he will host a label showcase at Patterns in Brighton, a fitting beach side location for a tribute to UKG with an all star cast.

Y U Qt - U Belong 2 Me

One of the bubbliest two step tracks i’ve heard in a while. The energy in these guys production is wicked & I’m tipping them as my dark horses to have a wicked a year.

  • Royal Flush - Cut Ties

A 4×4 cut which has elements of a tuff jam groove but with a modern twist. Lovely to fit into sets.

  • Sammy Virji - Shapes (Oh Will)

Ridiculous tune by a ridiculous producer. An instant classic from a future legend.

  • Mind Of A Dragon - Wheel Up

A stomper from MOAD which always does damage in the clubs. The vip isn’t too bad either..

  • Aj Tracey - Ladbroke Grove

Produced by myself. Think it was important for people to hear garage in a new context .i,e a new mc and a new vocalist not regurgitating an old rnb or garage song.

  • Rudimental - Scared Of Love Feat. Ray Blk & Stefflon Don [Preditah Remix]

One of my favourite tunes of the year. Insane production levels from preditah on this one. effortless groove & could’ve easily been an original in its own right.

  • Brock Uk - Send For The Fire (Melon Mix)

2019 speed garage is a thing. This is out on label called mangoes and melons who have been putting out really interesting speed garage & house bits the last 12 months.

  • Wiley, Sean Paul, Stefflon Don - Boasty (Conducta Remix) Ft. Idris Elba

I wanted to reimagine the track as a roller that instantly wants to get you moving. I took influence form Grant nelson and booker t on the production but wanted it to have a grittier edge.
