The Warehouse Project Drops New Film Celebrating Manchester Club Culture Legacy
Manchester institution The Warehouse Project has released a new short film charting the evolution of one of the UK’s most influential club brands, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the culture, chaos and ambition that transformed WHP from a local rave series into a global nightlife powerhouse.
Released today the new video was created in collaboration with prolific director Leigh Powis who uses the opportunity to demonstrate the legacy of the venue, its origins and the possible future.
The video revisits the story of The Warehouse Project’s rise through Manchester’s underground scene, tracing its journey from the early Boddingtons Brewery events through the iconic Store Street era and into its current home at Depot Mayfield. The film combines archive footage, crowd shots and artist interviews to capture the atmosphere that has defined the brand for nearly two decades.
