The Bee Gees – Sweet Song Of Summer
Yes, The Bee Gees.
Despite releasing some of the worst music ever during the mid-late '70's this is an absolute gem of a track. Closing their 10th studio album 'To Whom It May Concern', 'Sweet Song of Summer' is the sound of the Gibb brothers experimenting with studio techniques and psychedelic drugs (there's a track on the album called 'Paper Mache, Cabbages and Kings') with maximum effect. Haunting synths combine with the sugar sweet Gibb vocals to produce a track that really stops you in your tracks.
