Jasmín announces new single on fabric Originals
Dutch-Argentinian producer Jasmín follows her debut EP on Hessle Audio with a two-track 12″ on fabric Originals, out May 8th on vinyl, download and streaming.
It’s Girls Night / Long Hair pushes into darker, more physical territory than Bite The Hand That Feeds You, which marked Hessle Audio’s 50th release. Where that record established her credentials, this one strips things back to something more feral. Frenetic rhythms, guttural kicks, dissonant textures, guitars repurposed as bass lines, and vocal samples pushed until they sound barely human.
The A-side is a barrage of Batucada-style percussion and subterranean kicks that builds to near-hysteria before snapping back to bare bones. On the flip, ‘Long Hair’ goes somewhere more ominous: broken rhythms, swelling bass and dissonant strikes circling in a dense, ritualistic haze.
The Amsterdam-based artist describes the release as rooted not in introspection but in formative moments on the dance floor. Productions on 3024, Dekmantel and Woozy and DJ mixes for FACT, Rinse FM and NAFF have already marked her out, and 2026 keeps the momentum building: a B2B2B with Ben UFO and Pariah in Manchester, festival sets at Dekmantel and Field Manoeuvres, and an Asia tour on the way.
The single marks the first in an upcoming run of releases on fabric Originals.
