Reissue label AGT Records (All in Good Time) share a rare gem from mysterious producer Nev, with all proceeds going to diabetes charity, JDRF.

Tim ‘Nev’ Prezzano sadly passed away of Type 1 diabetes in June 2018, and with the help of his brother Pete, the label are releasing this sought after gem to raise money for the charity, which is researching and preventing the effects of Type 1 diabetes.

The EP, titled Deep Beep, spans different electronic sounds from rolling, unfurling house, to warm, bleepy electro and chugging sample-laden rhythms. Originally released in 1991 on Metamerism, the original copies, of which there are few online, fetch upwards of £200.

Tim ‘Nev’ Prezzano was born and raised in New York, where he studied early computer language and music theory and its relation to human psychology. A string of 6-string mini LPs appeared on UK imprint GPR in the early 90s and explored IDM, electro, techno and house, trying to find the soulfulness in the machine that he used at the time.

Deep Beep is available now on Juno, Redeye and Phonica.
