After a hugely successful summer of screenings, the phenomenon that is Rooftop Film Screening move into the last leg of a glorious summer with a series of classic films showing on the rooftops of both the Queen of Hoxton and the Bussey building.
The party in Peckham continues to rock throughout September with one of the best views in London from the Bussey Building Rooftop Bar. Famous for its Happy Hour (6-7pm) and 360 panoramic views of the city skyline to get you in the mood for movie greats such as ‘Drive’, ‘Dazed and Confused’, ‘Grease 2’, ‘Sin City’, ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘E.T.’, ‘Big Fish’, ‘Mamma Mia!’, and a rooftop debut for Sigourney Weaver in the much loved classic ‘Alien’. If it’s action you crave they also have a muscle flexing Arnie Double Bill with ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’ and ‘Total Recall’ on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September.
At the Queen of Hoxton they take you on a trip down cinematic memory lane with ‘Breathless’ from the 60s to ‘The Breakfast Club’ of the 80s to 2012 blockbusters like ‘Spring Breakers’ on the 1st September. The hot coals are fired up and ready to go so join them early for delicious food from the BBQ and refreshing drinks on the best rooftop in town alongside film favourites including ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’, ‘The Wedding Singer’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Empire Records’, ‘This is Spinal Tap’, ‘Con Air’, ‘Top Gun’ and the action packed ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’.
