Sonar 2014 Proves Another Vintage Year
With over 109,000 visitors from 99 countries and more than 3,500 professionals registered at Sonar+D, it seems pretty safe to say that this year's Sonar Festival in Barcelona was a rip-roaring success. With plenty of amazing artists performing including Chic ft. Nile Rodgers, Moderat, Harvey, Despacio, T Williams, Simian Mobile Disco, James Holden and so many more alongside some really interesting lectures, films and new technologies the festival was home to over 100,000 festival-goers over the long weekend and has comfortably staked its claim to remain one of the highlights of the festival calendar. R$N had a stormer once again!
What's more is that the 500 early bird tickets that went on sale over the weekend sold out pretty much instantly, suggesting that next year's outing will be another well-attended event.
You can expect to see full reviews of the festival in coming days but, for now, why not check out our In Pictures guide to Sonar 2014. We're just learning with that feature. Next year's will be much more, how you say; fluid! 2.0 that's what you can call us over here!
21 years strong, viva Sonar!
The next Sonar event will take place on 16 December this year in Cape Town whilst next year's Sonar Barcelona will take place on 18, 19 and 20 June 2015.
