Sonic rambling returns to the North Wiltshire countryside with the soundtrack for the weekend revealed for the joint festival between Optimo (Espacio) and Ransom Note.

Watching Trees is set to return on the 30th of May, this time back to their original weekend format for some more woodland festivities as they reveal the cast of DJ’s and bands set to soundtrack proceedings.

The acclaimed festival has become a cult favourite and offers a distinct alternative to the mainstream focussing on showcasing leftfield electronic music and beyond whilst retaining a community-led feel.

Here’s what not to miss…

Live acts announced for this year include dubbed out musings from Al Wooton, psychedelic rock and synthesised sounds from W.H. Lung, dream pop from Bikini Body, kraut inspired weirdness from Froid Dub and many more including the mighty cult heroes GONG.

DJ’s joining the programme this year include underground favourite Midland and ethereal selector Nabihah Iqbal. Club focussed sounds will be lead by Shy One, Parris, Jaye Ward, Budino and more.

Not forgetting the mighty ex-world champion snooker player Steve Davis and GONG band member Kavus Torabi performing together on the Sunday.

Of course the weekend wouldn’t be complete without a number of sets from figureheads Optimo who will be joined by a collective of Ransom Note favourites, our very own Music To Watch Seeds Grow By ambient takeover and family all weekend…but not Ally Tropical who is banned because he’s getting married the weekend after.
