Comedy Slices #12

Art & Culture

This week in comedy is like an overfilled stocking, bursting with great nights with the cheeky added bonus of all being as cheap as a saveloy and chips. Ignore the rain and cold seeping into your bones and let your face bask in the warmth of this week’s comedy slice…

Your first tonic of Vitamin C is the award winning comedy night Knock2Bag. Whatever you thought you were doing on Saturday night, think again this night is a must-see. The night never fails to deliver an incredible night of top comedians, and this Saturday is no exception. The new stars of comedy sketch shows,  Cardinal Burns are head lining. If you have never seen these guys live or their Channel 4 show (where have you been to miss that?) then you are in for a delicious hot toddy of a comedy treat. Joining them are the irresistibly funny Claudia O'Doherty, Jenny Fawcett, Pat Cahill, Jamie Demetriou and Nish Kumar MCing. It is enough comedy sunshine to give you a sunburn.

Magic Garden Comedy Club,

The Magic Garden pub is a gem of a pub. Anyone claiming to have some magical secret garden and provides hot water bottles is on to a winning formula. I’m a particular fan of the hot water bottles, seriously considering taking this up as part of my standard attire perhaps strapping five around my torso like some watery suicide bomber before leaving the house. As well as the hot water bottles and pixie like garden this pub also puts on a good comedy night too.  This upcoming Tuesday’s bill includes Josh Widdecombe, James Acaster, Suzi Ruffel, Lou Sanders and Lloyd Griffith hosting to warm your cockles.
