Video Premiere: Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt – Ahu
Next month will mark the release of a new album to emerge from the Growing Bin camp. A wonderful record label operating out of Hamburg in Germany which has been responsible for the release of some seriously good music in recent years. Forward thinking and visionary, the label has been responsible for albums by the likes of Moon B, A.r.t Wilson, Wilson Tanner and more as well as EP's by Krakatau, James Booth and more. Old or new, quality underpins the output of the record label. This is why it was a particular delight when we were introduced to a two part LP forthcoming on the record label by close friend Jan Schulte in collaboration with Niklas Wandt.
"Instrumentalmusik von der Mitte der World" is a journey through percussive breakdowns, distant meditation and wonky electronics. The twelve track LP sees the pair collaborate in a playful manner. Somewhere between dance music and the ethereal this one is pretty special.
We are delighted to be able to premiere an exclusive video from the album below. Constructed by Deniz Saridas, filmed at the Aiwo studio, watch the accompanying visual journey to "Ahu" below:
