Our label offshoot Human Endeavour ready their next release: a heady, potent brew of club sounds from Middlesbrough DJ, producer and label head REES.

Marking the label’s most club-ready outing to date, and signalling a venture into darker musical realms for the Magic Ritmo co-boss, the three tracks on ‘Echo Ritual’ connect the dots between electro, EBM and wave.

A departure from the Italo, leftfield house and trance-soaked sounds heard on his previous releases for the likes of Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi and Palms Trax’s CWPT, ‘Echo Ritual’ charges straight out the gates with its euphoric, whirring synths that ring out over an infectious chugging bass line.

‘Northern Chug’ follows suit, taking cues from visceral body music and heavy, stomping electro, before REES ups the tempo for closing track ‘Venom’; another deadly dose of slithering electro fuelled by biting, metallic synths and razor sharp percussion.
