Video Premiere: Watch Mini Doc On Neana & Gang Fatale
Promoters/ film makers Come Thru have just completed the third in their series of short documentaries covering new faces pushing dance music forward. Having already given time to Jersey Club producer Kay Drizz and UK Night Slugs affiliate Deamonds, the Come Thru collective have now turned their attention to rising star Neana and his label Gang Fatale. Neana has been causing a stir with the Gang Fatale show on NTS, alongside dropping some well received releases on Night Slugs. The young producer has a sound that draws on the spartan percussive explosion of the New York Vogue scene, fashioning a stripped down futurist aesthetic that fits as happily alongside UK funky as it does gnarly techno utilitarianism. Come Thru have put together a 14 minute documentary that's part biography, part music video – we'd recommend you listen to it with your speakers plugged in; if you're missing the bass you're missing the point…
If you're keen to hear more, Come Thru have got a party with Neana in the pipeline, although they're yet to confirm the date – check their facebook page for more details, and Neana's page for links to music and show dates.
