Video Premiere: Alejandro Paz & Local Suicide – Take It Easy
Following the release of material from the likes of Jenia Tarsol, Speaking Minds & Amarcord, AEON return to their annual compilation series Lost Tapes for installment number three. Made up of 13 tracks from the likes of Uriah Klapter, Omri Smadar, Rigopolar and Rina, the release brings together a roster of close family and newly discovered artists together, and champions music from all corners of the music spectrum, from breakbeat to new wave and downtempo cuts.
Berlin duo Local Suicide have teamed up with Alejandro Paz for their contribution, and as an added extra have created a video made in quarantine to raise spirits. In their own words:
"Since it’s a happy vibes track and and it's called 'Take It Easy', we thought that we could use it to show the fun side of the quarantine and raise everyone’s morale. We are being bombed constantly by bad news and this – in combination with the isolation we are all experiencing and the other problems that arise in terms of financial, personal etc – has a very negative effect on our psyche. We wanted to show that we could still stay positive and have happy moments even in the hardest times.
Music goes on and we could go on too: listen to it, sing along and dance in our living room, balcony or garden and have some fun! We asked our friends and followers to shoot themselves alone or with friends, loved ones, family, babies, parents, pets and so on dancing and/or singing alone to the lyrics of the track, doing something surreal and also showing how they spend their day, for example cleaning, doing yoga, watering the plants etc. Our friend Cocaya, a very talented young videomaker from Greece, did her magic and voila! Enjoy and Take It Easy!"
