Premiere: Yuu Udagawa – Urban Physicality (Takuya Matsumoto Remix)
The air was dense and thick with a fierce grey smog, the city was breathing out the dirt and grit from what lay beneath.
The sidewalk was a map of memory.
As he moved through the blocks, the city pressed back. Narrow corridors of wind between towers funneled against his chest; the heat from subway grates rose up his legs; the pedestrian current forced his shoulders into constant negotiation. Every intersection was choreography—pause, pivot, slide through the gap before the light changed.
This was urban physicality. The fight for space amidst the concrete warzone which surrounded him.
Everyone was out for themselves.
Yuu Udagawa is remixed by Takuya Matsumoto on a new EP for Razor-N-Tape. A classy release pairs two singular producers and weaves a wicked tapestry for the dancefloor.
