Premiere: Decha – Voj a Ver (Eva Geist Remix)

The little bar on the corner overlooked the port, it remained quiet most evenings but once in a while something out of the ordinary would happen. The regulars would sit and drink wine until late at night looking out across the sea, hoping for some kind of entertainment or drunken argument to take place so they could discuss it amongst each other for weeks to come. They enjoyed the quiet but they still yearned for the drama.

In early 2019, Berlin’s Malka Tuti released Hielo Boca, an LP from Decha AKA Viktoria Wehrmeister, one half of Toresch alongside Tolouse Low Trax. Ahead of her sophomore album, which will be released in the near future, several artists and friends of Mala Tuti have taken on remix duties of Decha’s originals, including Tapan, Khidja, Philipp Otterbach and Eva Geist who reconstruct Viktoria’s originals in surprising and intriguing ways.
