Premiere: COUSIN – Faun
The forest offered an escape, it was their favourite place to frequent to help free their mind from troubles. Everything seemed to have a calming effect: the soft flow of the stream, the green leaves rustling in the light wind, sounding something like a distant flute meandering through the trees. Everybody needed a place like this. Here, merriment was free and it was unlimited…
After putting together a hefty V/A compilation in aid of bushfire relief earlier this year, Sydney-based label Moonshoe return for something a little more bitesize – a debut EP from local artist COUSIN. A refined first release, the four tracks explore heady and psychedelic realms, bringing together organic dubwise rhythms and hypnotic subs that give us a sublime introduction to the world of COUSIN.
