Belly Dance Services call on a fresh batch of artists from across the globe for their fourth Various Artists Worldwide release.

Dancing is fundamental; the body and mind need it to survive. It lift us up when we’re down, it frees us from our worries and fears, it allows us to connect with others. It goes beyond language, it transcends age, gender, race, sexuality, disability and culture; no matter where we are in the universe, whether it’s down on solid ground or up in space, dancing will always be a medicine.

The fourth instalment in Vienna-based label Belly Dance Services Various Artists Worldwide series calls on another roster of artists from across the globe. They connect the dots between Italy, Lithuania, Israel, Australia and beyond, but though the contributors may be geographically disparate, the music most definitely isn’t. All bringing their own leftfield, psychedelic takes on dance music, the line up – which includes A-Tweed, Ackerman and Funboy – explore different threads of percussive, indie dance, synth, downtempo and techno.
