It were as if he were looking at someone else, the water rippled beneath blurring his reflection making him question every little thing he thought he’d known.

Perhaps this was just his mind’s eye playing tricks upon him or maybe, just maybe, he was observing and witnessing the real thing for the first time.

Either way it was unnerving, if not slightly beautiful and alluring all in one.

He gazed out from upon the edge of the pier, what would it take just to jump off?
