First View: Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch – The Only Water

Following a break of almost three years since the release of her debut LP Like Water Through The Sand, Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch recently returned to FatCat's pioneering post-classical imprint 130701 with her new album Epoques. Over ten tracks the French pianist and composer breathes fresh life into the marriage between classical instrumentation and evocative electronics, moving towards a warmer yet darker mode; the summer thunderstorm to her previous album's cold winter morning.
Emilie has just announced a limited edition tour EP in collaboration with Resina and Shida Shahabi. Featuring seven exclusive new tracks, The Sea at The End of Her String is available both digitally and in a limited edition, one-time-only vinyl pressing of 300 copies to be sold alongside a short, triple-bill UK tour starting on Thursday – tickets & more details here.
