Premiere: Common Factors – Modelling

She felt different this morning, as though a switch had been flicked on overnight. Instead of burying her head in the pillows and pulling the duvet over her head, motivation heaved her on to her feet and into action. To do lists were scrawled in her newly purchased diary, each room organised and cleaned, and any remaining bottles of alcohol or packets of cigarettes had been discarded. How long she’d keep this up was uncertain, but for now she felt like a brand new woman.

To kickstart his new label Life Scripts, an off-shoot of his Configurations of Self imprint, DJ and producer Alexander Church is joining forces with Phantasy Sound regular and frequent collaborator James Welsh under the moniker Common Factors. Promising to focus on electronica, breakbeat and ambient sounds, the label stay true to their word with a four track EP that meanders from glistening breaks to uplifting, old school rave and celestial electronica, produced with their specific analog set up of Erica Synths instruments.
