Elbee Bad – The Prince of Dance Music. Rush Hour.

There’s something spooky about the music of Elbee Bad. Early NY house infused with a singular voodoo spirit, he’s not rated as highly as he should be in the list of house music pioneers, but I reckon this Rush Hour vinyl sampler and the compilation due to follow will put paid to that. (Joe)

Delroy Edwards – When The Glue Won't Burn (4 Club Use Only) (L.I.E.S. Records 15)
Unprocessed, acidic punch, end-of-night affect; marked by hyperkinetic, low fidelity propulsions building dramatic range like a less sordid, more ruminative Marcus Mixx.
Sets a pace and mood like a headlong drive on a still night. Yet another fine release from L.I.E.S. (Tim)

Hot Chip – Todd Terje
Oooh I'm so underground… I'm obviously not. I love pop music. Good pop music you understand. Hot Chip are still making sublime off-kilter pop music and who better to give them a re-rub than our Balearic cover star of last week than Mr Todd Terje. It's pretty much almost out but who cares. Reminds me of dancing in the sunshine and smiling a lot… I think I need to do some more of that before the summer is out… (Wil)
