Neville Watson’s House Top 5

Music

We love London house supreme audio being Neville Watson. He's ace… really ace. He's so ace that he's compiled his 5 current house favourites for us ahead of playing Fill Yer Boots this Saturday.
House is in such a great state at the moment… here's some reasons why:

1. Meschi – The Ghost (Boe Recordings)
London label Boe releases some quality drum machine driven house from Glasgow's excellent Paul Meschi. The Ghost has the winning combo of deep, square bass and heady pads that I love so much.
2. Mr G – Soulfood EP (Phoenix G)
The title legend doesn't even come close to explaining Colin McBean. From The Advent to his solo outings as Mr G he is consistently on form and the title track from this ep is the one doing it for me right now.
If you haven't checked out his live set for Boiler Room you are doing yourself a serious injustice.

3. Semtek – Bento (Awkward Movements)
Benji Semtek is a gem of a producer and is someone to watch out for. This has been out since the summer but I can't get enough of it in all it's thumping, boomy glory. Like Octave One being kidnapped and forced
to go on a bender in Peckham.

4. Phlash – House Phillerz Vol. 2 (Archive)
Phil Asher is another producer and DJ who shouldn't need any introduction. Vapourize on this 12 is a killer acidic cut, perfect for getting the crowd ready for some deeper jams.

5. Jamie Blanco – I Think She Thinks (London Housing Trust)
Jamie following up his excellent release on Cynic with more contemporary acid flavours. Another producer to watch out for.

Neville Watson is a real deal house head. As well as releasing on Clone, Rush Hour and World Unknown, he has worked with the likes of
KiNK, Kim Ann Foxman and Perseus Traxx.
He plays the equally great Fill Yer Boots  with Leisureware and Daniel Ghazvinie this  Saturday 1st December
9pm-2am, free entry
The White Horse, Hoxton

Come and get some of the proper stuff.
