Influences: Delano Smith

Music

Delano Smith continues to represent Detroit on the worldwide stage to the highest level. As a House and Techno pioneer he has been responsible for some of the most influential records of a generation. Last year he released a double 12" for Berlin based label, Sushitech Records, but in the past he has produced music alongside counterparts including Norm Talley and Mike Clarke. His DJ sets remain at the forefront of current musical trends whilst paying homage to the underground and the roots of electronic music culture.

Delano Smith will play alongside Oskar Offerman for Secretsundaze this weekend HERE

Caress - Catch The Rhythm (Danny Krivit Re-Edit)

One of the first Deep Disco tracks that I still like and sometimes play today. I remember hearing it on the disco radio stations in Detroit back in the day, mostly late nights. Didn’t hear it at the clubs so much. One of my favorite disco tracks of all time.

I was never much of a roller skater, but it was a big thing in Detroit back in the 70’s. My brother and I went almost every weekend. This was my all time skate Jam.
