David Keenan To Publish New Novel Next Year

David Keenan, author of the best music book of the recent years, ENGLAND HIDDEN REVERSE – A SECRET HISTORY OF THE ESOTERIC UNDERGROUND, is set to publish his first novel next year through Faber & Faber.

As far as what we've gathered, THIS IS MEMORIAL DEVICE is an "HALLUCINATED ORAL HISTORY OF THE POST-PUNK SCENE IN AIRDRIE, COATBRIDGE AND ENVIRONS 1978-1986". The book is an imaginary journal of muso musings with dreamed discography, made-up band names, ghost members etc…

Sometimes, and only sometimes, fiction can change reality, R$N may come back to this as it will certainly be one of the books of the year to come.
