Burnski – 8 Tracks That Inspired Constant Sound

Music

Burnski has curated his own, top quality brand of house music which combines strands of vintage Detroit and Chicago sounds with a personal touch to ensure that everything he makes has that 'Burnski' sound. Having left these shores for Berlin, he's set to return next weekend as he joins fabric for a Saturday night of slick as you like sounds. Before he once more sets foot in the UK, Burnski tells us about 8 Tracks that have inspired his Constant Sound label. You can hear most of them above by using the menu on the left and there's one very special track just below;

J Dahlback & JL Huta – Midnight Express 1

From the almighty Svek records. That label alone has inspired the start Constant Sound as much as anything. Hammered this track over the years. Late night business

See Burnski at fabric on 19th September – find out more here.

Claro Intelecto .Peace Of Mind

I can remember my old college mate Oli Faulkner giving me this track 11 years ago now and still to this day I love hearing it just as much. It still sounds amazing, real next level shit.

  • Steve O Sullivan & John Beer - Breezer

    One from the vaults of Mosaic records that got re-released on Sushitech. Classy vibes here.

  • Horseshoe - Collage (Original Mix)

    Cabinet Records have been a massive inspiration over the years. This track is a bit of a classic and recently got re-pressed which was great to see. Daniel and Jens have been responsible for some of the best house and techno tracks in the last 20 years for me.

  • Schatrax - Restless Nights

    One from the Schatrax label. The back catalogue is a gold mine and this is just one of many that has really inspired over the years.

  • Sunday Brunch - My World (Night Drive Mix)

    The majority of these tracks are really old and have stood the test of time, still inspiring me to this day. I guess the only goal, if anything, with the label is to release timeless music that still works in years from now like these ones. Those are the tracks that I am always drawn too.

  • G-Man - Quo Vadis (Original)

    Another classic here and over the last 10 years I have played it so many times in sets. Timeless stripped down stuff that will never age.

  • Mrs J (Original Mix)

    And finally, the first track we signed for the label a couple of years ago now. We had been sat on it for a while and knew we could get some really nice remixes on board from Cab Drivers and Leonel Castillo. It came out this year and has had a great response so far. We have more stuff coming from Alex who is a name to definitely watch.
