8 Tracks: For The Late Shift with Rudolf C
Originally hailing from Australia, last year Rudolf C upped sticks and joined a wealth of other producers who've made the move to Europe. Now residing in Berlin, alongside fellow Aus native Shedbug he runs vinyl-only imprint Salt Mines, a hotbed for dreamy breaks-smattered musings that have charted EPs from the likes of Reptant, Roza Terenzi, Life Sciences Division and, of course, the label heads themselves.
Aside from Salt Mines, over the last four years Rudolf has made homes on Sensu, Lost Palms and X-Kalay, the latter with whom he will release Deep Sea Survivor, later this week. Featuring in DJ Seinfeld's recent DJ-Kicks mix, this forthcoming slice of goodness perfectly showcases his distinct sound; deep, atmospheric house and breaks realised through a passion for live hardware.
Ahead of the release of Deep Sea Survivor this Wednesday he picks out eight songs to soundtrack those late night sessions.
Follow Rudolf C and X Kalay. Pre order Deep Sea Survivor.
I got this one in Moscow for roughly a euro, so so good. Played just a touch faster and it becomes a super lovely dubbed club track.
