Visible Cloaks to release collaborative LP on RVNG Intl.

Visible Cloaks are set to release an LP with Japanese avant-garde musicians Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano, as part of RVNG Intl.’s collaborative series.
serenitatem will mark the 15th instalment of FRKWYS, that pairs intergenerational artists in creative conversations, as well as the first new music from the Portland, Oregon duo since their 2017 album Reassemblage. Pioneering figures on the Japanese avant-garde music and visual arts scene in the 1980s and 90s, Yoshio Ojima, a composer of environmental and ambient music, and Satsuki Shibano, a pianist known for her interpretations of Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, are among a select group of artists whose influential ideas still resonate today. Following months of remotely sharing sound sketches, the group united in Tokyo in December 2017 to record the album.
A portion of the proceeds from the LP will go to Pink Ribbon, an international organization funding breast cancer research and awareness.
serenitatem, FRKWYS Vol. 15, will be released on April 5, 2019.
