A slice of Velvet Underground flavour dream pop from the much tipped Spectrals. Woozy and half forgotten, like the barely heard music coming from Nurse Ratchetts office, settling over the day as you take intermittent hits on a creaking methadrone drip. Keep Your Magic Out Of My House is a prescription of bluegrassy twangs, walls of reverb and a wash of ol time rock n roll. For a sound so steeped in Americana, there is a curiously English feel to the song, perhaps in its plaintiveness, perhaps in its nostalgic feel, whatever, it makes for an intriguing mix and another promising release from the band.
