Shangaan electro Paris Tour

Following a suitably frenetic summer of action across Europe, Nozinja, the architect of the modern electronic take on traditional South African music that is Shangaan Electro, has been asked to curate an evening of live performance and DJs at La Gaite Lyrique in Paris. 

Taking place over two days on 19-20 October, the event features several acts from the Limpopo region of South Africa, including legends of soulful seventies Shangaan music Madyakubomba and Samson Mthombeni as well as DJ Ronald Chabalala from Malamulele Community Radio, all invited by Nozinja to perform alongside Shangaan Electro as part of his ongoing quest to represent Shangaan culture old and new on a global scale. The day after the concert, Nozinja and co will lead a dance workshop for those interested in learning the high speed moves step by step.

The Parisian activies fall towards the climax of an extensive Shangaan Electro European tour, including festival appearances, DJ sets and further dance workshops dates below.
