A tried and tested balearic gem is reimagined once more.

The plane lifted out of Miami just after midnight, its silver wings catching the glow of the runway lights. Inside the cabin, everything looked dipped in neon. Blue aisle lights hummed softly, and a flight attendant in a crimson uniform walked past with a tray of tiny bottles and plastic cups.

The cabin was only half full. A businessman slept with his tie loosened. A woman in mirrored sunglasses, somehow still wearing them at one in the morning, scribbled in a notebook beneath a reading lamp. Somewhere near the back, someone laughed quietly.

The captain’s voice crackled over the speakers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we’re cruising at thirty-seven thousand feet. Clear skies all the way to Los Angeles.”

This was the night flight.

Originally released in 1987 on a rare album titled ‘Moments’ which was supposedly released on only 300 copies. Since then this track by Quintus Project has developed a life of its own with several edits and remixes. This latest re-imagination comes from Llewellyn who does beautifully well at crafting a weaving long player.
