Scratchclart teams up with :3LON for single on Hyperdub

The track is taken off his forthcoming EP 'Afrotek', set for release on 3rd September.

Longtime Hyperdub affiliate Scratchclart has shared the first single from his new EP 'Afrotek': a collaboration with Baltimore-based producer, singer and songwriter :3LON.

A mix of R&B and UK-influenced Amapiano, 'Flex' is released tomorrow ahead of the full EP on 3rd September, which also features collaborations with South African producer Mxshi Mo and Nottingham rapper Mez.

The EP as a whole showcases his knack for fusing Amapiano and UK-influence Gqom and his current status of collaborator and ambassador for this new South African-inspired UK sound.

Scratchclart, formerly known as Scratcha DVA, first released on Hyperdub 11 years ago and has since put out seven EPs and two albums on the label. Aside from this longstanding partnership, he's released music via DRMTRK, Keysound Recordings, Visceral Vaults, Dream Eater and his own eponymous DVA Music.

Watch the video for :3LON and Scratchclart's collaboration.
