Well it had to happen eventually… after threatening for years it looks like Mark Gardner and Andy Bell of seminal shoegaze band Ride have finally patched up their differences and are getting back together for a string of dates next year including 2 London dates at the Roundhouse and Field Day 2015.

Everyone's favourite part wall of noise, part Byrds-ian 90's popniks will reunite in May for a UK tour that includes dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow, plus shows in Paris, Amsterdam, Toronto and New York.

For someone who used to spend a lot of their formative years staring at their shoes, R$N is pretty bloody excited at the prospect of hearing this and many others played live:
