A collection of late 1970’s material was found on unfinished reels which features a collection of abstract Kraut influenced sounds and is has been pieced together by Sindaco and Wang Inc.

A rare collection of electronic and abstract music has been discovered in Italy. Thought to have been originally recorded in the late 1970’s the material was found by art curator Massimo Torrigiani on old unfinished reels.

“Reels of an unfinished album were discovered in Cavarzere, a quiet farmhouse near Venice. The musicians who created them have long vanished into obscurity, leaving behind only a nearly illegible handwritten note marked with the enigmatic acronym B.A.M.”

Massimo Torrigiani then sought to bring the music to life and enlisted the skill of Angelo Sindaco who then digitised each track.

The new record is now titled ‘Sindaco presents B.A.M. – 1981’ and will be released on vinyl.

Curiosity around the origins of the record remains aplenty. Adding another layer to the story, a few photographs of the musicians were found—hidden inside the battered box that held the reel to reel AMPEX tapes. But no names.
