New single released from Frankie Knuckles’ ‘Director’s Cut’ project

‘Right Now’ features iconic house music vocalists Inaya Day & Robin S. and was released today (18th January) on what would have been Knuckles’ birthday, to celebrate the legacy of the ‘Godfather of House’.
It was in the later stages of his illustrious career that Chicago house pioneer, Frankie Knuckles, worked alongside Eric Kupper on Director’s Cut.
As part of the project, the long-time friends and studio collaborators began to produce an LP which was ultimately left unfinished by Frankie’s untimely death in 2014.
Featuring on the album was a duet by vocal powerhouses, Inaya Day – the vocals of whom are best recognised as those which invigorate Mousse T. and Hot ‘n’ Juicy’s ‘Horny ’98”- and Robin S. – the voice behind ’90s house anthem ‘Show Me Love’. The product of this collaboration, the uplifting and diva-esque ‘Right Now’ is out now via SoSure.
