in 2017 a new label emerged in the form of Strangelove, an imprint focussed on showcasing hidden gems and breathing life into projects of the past. The latest release from the label comes in the form of the 'Echoes' LP by Frank Harris & Maria Marquez, a body of music which compiles a collection of tracks recorded between the mid 80’s to early 90’s. The release is a tropical blend of balearic, sun kissed, funk, soul and pop with a a distinctly tropical edge.

The release is described by the label as follows:

"Envisioning a tropical Sade, the music they created more often veers towards the leftfield, revelling in the embrace of Maria’s Venezuelan roots & folklore visions in combination with the exploration of Frank’s custom Synclavier synth station (the first keyboard to incorporate 16bit sampling)."
