In a quiet corner of a data centre, two computers sat on opposite ends of a server rack.

One spent its days rendering images, turning lines of code into landscapes, portraits, and worlds. The other stored files, protected data, and kept track of countless memories.

Every night, when the humans had gone home and the building grew still, they exchanged messages across the network.

The conversations were simple at first, but they soon became the highlight of each day. They shared stories about strange bugs, complained about unexpected updates, and laughed at the curious commands humans typed when they were tired.

As time passed, the messages grew longer.
