New Comp Released Of Classics Played At The Wrong Speed

The late great John Peel was famous for unwittingly playing records at the wrong speed – now the prosaically named Wrong Speed Records have released a compilation entirely dedicated to disco and baleraic classics played back too slow or too fast – and sounding surprisingly good. Opening with Kraftwerk's Tanzmuzik cranked up to 45 rpm, our favourites include a dragging, narcotic version of TC's Funky Guitar and the frantic sped up rendition of OMD's Dancing, but we'd be happy to recommend the lot… The full ten track album, compiled by Mirror People, is available at a Pay What You Want price from Bandcamp, listen and download below:
