Midori Takada & Lafawndah Collaborate On New Music
'Renard Bleu' is the first new music which Midori has worked on in almost twenty years and comes fresh off the back of a string of European dates and appearances with prolific features in London at the likes of Cafe Oto and The Barbican. She collaborates with Lafawndah on a twenty minute track which features ethereal elements of production and instrumentation in the form of the waterphone, bells, marimba and various forms of drums. The track comes from Midori Takada's:
"preoccupation with the legend of the fox. A legend that says it appears in both ancient Senegalese and Japanese folktales as the trickster archetype; belonging both to the heavens and to the earth, the fox is the agent of chaotic good, shaking the world up when its energy has become stagnant. Above all else, the fox is famous for its cunning nature."
