Lamont to release new EP on Loefah’s 81

Although Loefah’s Swamp 81 label has left listeners wanting due to a lack of output over the past two years, sublabel 81 has taken the spotlight as of late. Since the parent imprint’s last release, 81 has dropped four celebrated cuts from Swamp favourites Chunky, Pinch, Piezo and, of course, Lamont. Off the back of his Ar Kids / Ships release, the Bristol-based beatsmith is set to return to the label with his latest offering, the Humans EP. Championing left-leaning grime-infused bass music, the South Western producer has a knack for creating progressive, forward thinking sonics, skills clearly evident on his upcoming EP. Consisting of four instrumentals, the 12” radiates bassweight and gusto, complete with chiming melodies and playful details.
