'Opalescent', the debut album from the Mercury Music Prize and Ivor Novello award-nominated artist Jon Hopkins, is to be remastered and reissued for its 15 year anniversary. Sought after among Jon’s hardcore fans, who have repeatedly demanded a remastered vinyl version, the seminal album will finally be available as a special edition gatefold LP with brand new liner notes. Produced when Hopkins was just 20 years old with the support of Leo Abrahams, it was born from his label purchasing him a PC and some cheap software. Initially deemed as 'chill-out', the album included influences of drum 'n' bass, classical, jazz and soundtracks for which he would later gain recognition for.

Jon Hopkins – Opalescent is released by Just Music on 26th August 2016 and can be pre-ordered HERE.
