Invisible Inc Release Poncho Brothers Lost 80s Disco Demos
Glasgow based Invisible Inc are continuing their fine work exploring the hinterlands of cosmic disco and dancefloor psyche with a new 12" gathering 4 rare and unheard tracks from 80s Mexico City punk-funkers The Poncho Brothers. Los Hermanos Ponchos originally hailed from Yukatan, Mexico, moved to Mexico City in early 1985. Having run through a number of line up changes, they eventually settled on the Poncho Brothers moniker in 1990, before breaking up the following year. The Disco Azteca EP sees tracks from 1985, 1989, and 1990 get pulled from the vaults, alongside an all new remix from Zoovox. The EP sounds exactly how you'd hope; shuffling weirdo funk for sleazy dancefloors hidden behind unmarked doors. Daniele “Cosmic” Baldelli has been playing the EP, which is probs all you need in recommendation…
Listen below, and grab one of the quite ace looking 12"s (limited to 300, so probs best not to sleep) direct from the Invisible Inc Bandcamp
