Kyiv-based producer Hidden Element will release a new EP, ‘Everything Happens For a Reason’, with all profits being donated to the Ukrainian army.

Though written and recorded months before the war began in Ukraine, the release manages to capture the climate of suffering and hope in the country at the moment.

Over six tracks, and a remix from Manchester-based producer Tom Jarmey, Hidden Element shares his brand of future-facing techno and breakbeat, mixing harsh beats and off kilter synth lines with metallic and textural sound design.

Speaking about the release, Hidden Element said, “I prepared this release long before the war in Ukraine. Now I’m in Kyiv and not going anywhere. I’m not leaving my home. I don’t see any reason to postpone this release, because I’m not sure I’ll have an opportunity to do it in the future. All the money from the sale of this release will be sent to eliminate the consequences of Russian aggression towards Ukraine.”

“Today I feel that my voice is strong as never before! I want to be close to my family and my home no matter what. We will gather together many more times on rave parties with peaceful skies above our heads.”

Active for over a decade, Hidden Element has released music for the likes of Med School, Absys, Pinecone Moonshine, and has been remixed by artists including Throwing Snow, Andre Bratten and Cocktail Party Effect.
