And the cartoon superstars return in a melancholic disco stylo. The body popping beat and shuffling electro percussion are great from the get go. Damons plaintive wail is fragile over a cosmic melee, so fragile its somewhat of a shock when Womack first comes roaring in all demented pastor and soul power. After a couple of listens though, it seems strong rather than bizarre, a throwback to the house heroics of Darryl Pandy (hopefully without the disturbing fingernails). The only real complaint is the shortness of Mos Defs verse, apparently phoned in from a depth of 50 fathoms, and about 4 lines long. An extended mix would be marvellous please.
