Florien Hecker Returns To Pan With New Lp

Music

In 2010 Florien Hecker joined forces with multidisciplinary artist Mark Leckey to create the Hecker Leckey Sound Voice Chimera, a work that was originally performed as a live installation at Tate Modern. Based on Hecker remixing a vocal line from Leckey's performance piece GreenScreenRefrigeratorAction (for which Leckey intoned the inner monologue of a black Samsung fridge) and his own 3 Channel Chronics, the results see Hecker creating a scape of blips, whirrs, and near industrial vocal repetitions.

Now PAN is to release the project as a two track LP, or 3 track digital download, along with liner notes by art historian Alex Kitnick, and artwork by Florian Hecker & Bill Kouligas. This one's not for the part timers – from what we've heard Hecker is going way beyond anything you'd traditionally think of as music, into a weird somewhat spartan world of his own. Release date is March 23rd, find out more from the

PAN website.
